Dear Parents, We started our week off with a super fun My Gym class. Your children had a blast warming up their bodies, stretching their arms and legs, waking their bodies up and getting ready for the obstacle course! For this course, they had to hop into one hula-hoop using both feet, then jump into two hula-hoops, placing one foot in each hoop and lastly they had to crawl as fast as they could through the tunnel. Their friends cheered them on as they went through the course and waited patiently for their turn. We ended with a puppet show and a “hard work” hand shake. Our table top activities revolved around continuing to work on and practice their fine motor skills. Your children enjoyed our still art drawing activity. We had placed our flowers in a vase and fruit inside a basket. They picked which one they wanted to draw and patiently worked on their drawings. They had to look at what colors they needed to use, what shapes they needed to draw and how they could complete their still art drawing. There were various options of cutting activities to choose from, easier (cutting paper into pieces and straight lines) to more difficult cutting, where they had to cut out shapes. We also continue to expose your children to the Pre-K yard, where they are climbing, engaging in conversations and working on their turn-taking skills on the see-saw. On Wednesday, we had music with Andrew and got to use a parachute and puppets to sing and dance along. On Thursday, we joined with our friends in room 13 and Rabbi Sari told us a great story about the Torah and the different rules that are written within the Torah. Thank you to Michael and his family for celebrating Shabbat with us. Hope you enjoy your long weekend and Shabbat Shalom!
